When durability and flight performance are not compromised, the result is the SmoothStyle.

The SmoothStyle frame features a 3mm front lower plate,a 2mm rear lower plate, and a 2mm top plate. These components are securely held together by robust 6mm arms. Let’s face it, at some point, you’re bound to collide with something, and probably with great force. That’s why we need something strong.

Both the front and rear bays offer ample space. The camera bay area measures 24mm wide from cam plate to cam plate, while the rear bay is 43mm long between the standoffs, 36mm wide from carbon edge to carbon edge, and 20mm high. This design allows accommodation for nearly every video system available.

The top plate, which is 2mm thick, features chamfered outer edges to protect the battery straps. Additionally, it includes a 17x10mm hole behind the action cam mounting, which enables the option to run a battery lead through it. The battery mounting area is generously sized, measuring 100mm in length and 37mm in width. The rear top plate screws have been countersunk to ensure a flush battery mounting. Personally, I recommend using a 6s 1100mAh pack, but you can also use a larger pack by positioning it sideways, which still provides an excellent flying experience. Due to the longer rear and the weight of a heavy battery, some frames have experienced rear plate breakage. While some frame designers have attempted to address this by thickening the rear plates or using aluminum, I opted to create a special 6mm support key that fits between the rear upper plate and the front lower plate. This key provides added support to accommodate those chunky batteries and helps absorb the impact of downward forces during crashes.

The arms are 6mm thick and allow for the mounting of motors with a bolt pattern of either 16×16 or even up to 19×19. The frame adopts a squished X layout, measuring 226mm from motor to motor, and is compatible with up to 5.1-inch props. The arms are mounted using a two-screw setup, designed in a way that you don’t have to remove the stack screws to replace a single arm (if, by some chance, you break one). There are left front and right rear arms, as well as right front and left rear arms. When assembling the frame, ensure that the press nuts face upward. This arrangement maximizes the contact patch where the arms meet, distributing the shock evenly among the four screws instead of focusing it on just two. The frame also includes eight aluminum cones to spread out the clamping force along the bottom plate, along with a center screw that secures the rear top and rear bottom plates at the center. All in all, it offers an incredibly durable design weighing 153g, while still providing a flight experience like no other.

For flight controller mounting, you have the option of using either the countersunk 20×20 or 30.5×30.5 (30×30) mounting holes, with a height of 20mm. With the stack screws only attached to the rear top plate, it becomes very convenient for servicing.
